J. Noritsugu was born and raised in Japan. Having studied Oriental food therapy and Western nutrition, he started his career in Japan. He traveled the world to broaden his knowledge of organic and healthy food.
He has since been creating recipes and food products for leading Japanese companies, starring in numerous TV cooking shows, and directing several restaurants in Tokyo and companies while promoting his vision of modern healthy food. He introduces his own healthy meals on monthly TV shows and popularises his conception of healthy eating in magazines and his own books. So far, more than 15 of his cook-books have been published and re-edited in Asia.
The combination of Eastern and Western traditions makes J`s original outlook unique and explains the growing popularity of his books and TV shows in Japan. Success in the Japanese market propelled him to extend his work abroad. One of Jay`s books won recognition among nutritionists, received a strong approval of gourmet journalists and thus was published in Taiwan and Macao in 2007.
As a well-known organic food specialist, J. Noritsugu was invited by the Argentinean Government in 2011 to join the event of 21 great chefs and participate in promotion of the best foods and wines of the country. He gained media attention for being the first and the only chef from Asia to take part in this event. At that time, J. worked with the Japanese government and a Canadian company to promote healthy natural food among Japanese people. J. Noritsugu has developed his own product line of genuine food-inventions. He has won a reputation as a fervent devotee of quality among the Japanese and Korean food production companies he is in cooperation with. In Summer 2012,
J.`s Citron Tea won the Number One Sales award of the month within the food category on the biggest web market of Japan called Rakuten. 1.000.000,00 euro worth of his products was sold through QVC Japan during one day. As a chef, J. Noritsugu cares most about nutritional quality, organic ingredients and genuine taste when creating recipes and working on his brand products. As a media personality, he represents healthy, delicious recipes in a friendly and simple way, so that they can be easily adopted by Japanese people. Already involved in international projects in Asia, he aims to spread his concept of healthy eating to the European market.
